Shabba signs new Chiefs deal
Bafana Bafana midfielder Siphiwe Tshabalala ended speculation about his future on Tuesday as he signed a new three-year extension with Kaizer Chiefs, the club announced.
Shabba appeared to have fallen out of favour with the club after his failure to meet a “three days” deadline to make up his mind. But with less than two hours to the Premier Soccer League transfer deadline, the Naturena club announced a deal had been reached.
“We are delighted that Tshabalala has renewed his contract after he was given time by the executive chairman (Kaizer Motaung) to ponder about his future. He has always been loyal to the club and his experience will be important at this stage of the season,” said team manager Bobby Motaung.
Meanwhile, Chiefs have signed another Zimbabwean player in Brain Abbas Amidu from Black Mambas. This was confirmed by the PSL Football department on transfer deadline.
