Hunt excited over Gyimah
SuperSport United coach Gavin Hunt says he is looking forward to seeing Ghanaian youngster Edwin Gyimah in the second half of the PSL campaign.
Matsatsantsa signed the Under-23 international in October, but were only able to register him in the January transfer window.
Hunt says the central midfielder is ready for action and having already been with the club for three months, understands what is expected at United.
“He is ready to play, definitely, and we are looking forward to seeing how he goes,” Hunt told SuperSport.com. “He is a big, strong boy and can attack and defend equally well. I think he is going to be a big success.”
The 22-year-old, who has been likened to his compatriot Michael Essien, arrived from Wa All Stars in the Ghana Premier League after also having trials with BidVest Wits.
Meanwhile, Hunt has also welcomed the arrivals of winger Franklin Cale and striker Mabhuti Khenyeza from Mamelodi Sundowns.
“They have settled in very well and are key positions for us,” Hunt says. “Both are left-sided players and we needed to add depth on that side of the team.
