The skilful and speedy Golden Arrows midfielder Njabulo Manqana looks set to join Orlando Pirates from Golden Arrows on a deal that could see striker Siphelele Mthembu go the other way.
The Durban club confirmed on Tuesday that Manqana had stopped training with them due to his possible move to defending Absa Premiership champions Pirates. The Soweto giants used player collateral by releasing Mthembu to Arrows.
Telkom Knockout and MTN8 champions have also been linked with Siyabonga Nkosi, but their main interest has been KZN-born player Manqana who is capable of playing in a variety of attacking positions, that might boost their CAF Champions League campaign.
Manqana has provided excellent assistance for several goals scored by his teammates, and also achieved 25 starts for Golden Arrows in the 2009/10 Absa Premiership season and chipped in with three goals.
"Striker Siphelele Mthembu is not training with the club at present. The KZN-born player has expressed his desire to get game-time and thus the club has granted his wish. Mthembu is currently training with Arrows with the hope of signing for the rest of the season," said the club through their official website Orlandopiratesfc.com.
