Platinum Stars sign Spencer

Platinum Stars have just finalised a two-year deal with an option to renew for another season with former Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns utility player, Derrick Spencer.

According to a source close to the player, the deal has just been finalised and Spencer has already signed on the dotted line for Dinaledi.

"Derrick is at Stars and he's already confirmed that he's signed with the club. He's obviously looking forward some regular game time."

Attempts to get hold of Spencer proved fruitless, at the time of going to press, but Stars' General Manager, Jason Rainer, confirmed the story. "Ja it is true, we have just come out of the meeting and he's signed for two seasons with an option to renew for another season."

Spencer was recently transfer-listed by Sundowns and the two clubs have already agreed on the transfer fee.
