Lavange to pick new captain

The president of the Cameroon football federation Fecafoot Iya Mohammed has given the Indomitable Lions coach Denis lavagne a clean sheet to choose a new captain for the Cameroon squad. Iya was responding to an earlier letter sent to him by Lavagne, insisting that the captainship of Eto'o Fils be terminated when the striker comes back from his eight-month suspension.
In the reply, Iya tells Lavagne to take his responsibility as coach. ?"You are the manager of the team and should therefore decide on what you think is best for the team," he said, before citing the case of the former coach of the squad, ?When Paul Le Guen came in, he changed and appointed the present captain.'
The letter is just another episode of the plan to remove the armband from the Anzi Makahkala striker after he was given an eight-month suspension for his role in the failed friendly against Algeria in October 2011. However, nobody has been courageous enough to take the giant stride to name a new captain. In the first letter Mr. Lavagne called on the Fecafoot president to make a decision,. but, in his reply, Mr. Iya refused to do so, saying, ?"at the federation we are administrators while you are the boss of the squad, so it's your duty to make decisions that are best for the squad."
