'No English' derails Makoun
Cameroon's 29-year-old midfielder Jean II Makoun will certainly be sold out by his club Aston Villa this season, because he's still unable to speak English.
The player who was signed in from Lyon in 2011 for six million pounds but was loaned to Greek club Olympiacos mainly because he could not make enough first team starts, but also because he could not speak English.
He had begun learning the language but stopped the lessons when he moved to Greece. He is one of the priority players of the new villa boss Paul Lamberts but he has been unable to return to England because of difficulties to obtain a work permit. He has not been able to pass the language test required for a permit issue .
He will therefore be put on the transfer list if it fails to work out for him.
