Impey wins stage, Rabie retains yellow at Tour of Morocco

South Africans continued to shine at the Tour de Morocco when Daryl Impey won the 170km Stage 7 from Khenifra to Fez on Thursday. In the process, he scored enough points to take over the Green Jersey of Points.

Competition leader. Fellow South African, Johann Rabie, finished in the front bunch and retained the Yellow Jersey of overall

leader.

Rabie and Impey are equal on time and have each won a stage. But because he's had more higher stage finish positions than Impey, Rabie holds onto the race lead. Three stages of the 10-day tour remain with Friday's Stage 8 a scheduled 120km leg from Meni Mellal to Azilal.
