Hivert wins again, Valverde still leads

Frenchman Jonathan Hivert, of the Sojasun team, followed up his victory in Monday's first stage by winning the second stage of the Tour of Andalusia on Tuesday.

The 27-year-old once again prevailed in a sprint, this time from American Tyler Farrar and Italy's Francesco Lasca, at the end of the 194.2km ride from Trebujena to Montilla.

In the overall standings, Spain's Alejandro Valverde retained the lead by a margin of seven seconds from Belgium's Juergen Van den Broeck.

Wednesday's third and final stage will take the peloton 182.7km from Lucena to Rincon de la Victoria.
