Ag2r back for Tour Down Under

French cycling outfit Ag2r La Mondiale will return to Australia next month for the team's 15th start in the Tour Down Under, organisers said on Thursday.

Ag2r La Mondiale is the only team to have competed every year since the first event in 1999, race director Mike Turtur said.

The French team has the most successful record in the Australian road race with previous winners including Martin Elmiger (2007), Simon Gerrans (2006), Mikel Astarloza (2003) and Gilles Maignan (2000).

"The Ag2r La Mondiale team will be very competitive. They are bringing a group of experienced riders including Yauheni Hutarovich, the 2012 Belarus national road race champion," Turtur said.

The Tour Down Under takes place in and around Adelaide from January 20 to 27.
