Frank Schleck pulls out of Giro

RadioShack rider Frank Schleck on Sunday pulled out of the 15th stage of the Giro d'Italia between Busto Arsizio and Lecco Piani dei Resinelli.

The elder of the Schleck brothers called it a day less than one hour into the start of the 169km stage, having previously complained of pain in his right shoulder after a fall on Wednesday.

The Luxembourger had been in 15th place in the overall standings, 2min 20sec behind Canadian Ryder Hesejdal.
