Day two also a washout in East London

A drenched outfield along with intermediate drizzle forced day two of the SuperSport Series match between the Chevrolet Warriors and the Nashua Titans at Buffalo Park in East London on Friday to be abandoned.

The first day of the match was also washed out, mainly due to heavy rain and a flooded outfield.

Conditions improved 24 hours later, although there was a slight sprinkle of drizzle since the scheduled start at 10am.

The outfield also appeared much better on the surface, but the ground conditions were deemed too dangerous for any play to be possible.

More rain was projected for later on Friday with forecasts predicting up to 80 per cent, while showers are also expected over the weekend.

The Titans currently lead the competition standings, while the Warriors are second from bottom.
