Morgan secures tight win for England

Eoin Morgan hit a six off the final ball to secure a six-wicket win for England in the second and final Twenty20 international against India in Mumbai on Saturday, sharing the series 1-1.

Full Scorecard: India v England

England captain and man-of-the-match Morgan was unbeaten on 49 off only 26 deliveries, having had to come to the visitors' rescue after the fall of opener Michael Lumb and Luke Wright within two overs.

Lumb gave England a superb start, reaching his maiden T20 fifty off 30 balls, but then gave Yuvraj Singh the charge, missed the ball and was easily stumped by Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

Yuvraj struck twice more - the wickets of Luke Wright for five, and Alex Hales for 42 - to put India in charge, and put a brake on the scoring tempo.

With five overs to go, England still needed 51 runs and it was up to Morgan and Jos Buttler (15 not out off 7) to take England home.

Man-of-the-Series Yuvraj finished with his best T20 bowling figures of 3-17 off four overs.

Earlier, India surged to 177 for seven after a slow start.

Dhoni top-scored with 38 off 18 balls, and Suresh Raina finished not out on 35.

The pair got together when India were in trouble on 108 for five, and added 60 runs in four overs to boost the total.

Virat Kohli contributed 38 at the start of the innings.

Jade Dernbach and Luke Wright took 2-37 and 2-38 respectively.

The tour now takes a break over the festive season, and will enter the 50-over stage with the first of five internationals in Rajkot on January 11.

India will host Pakistan for two T20s and three ODIs during this break.
