Faul appointed as Northerns Cricket CEO

Cricket South Africa's acting chief executive, Jacques Faul, has been appointed as the new boss of the Northerns Cricket Union, replacing former CEO Elise Lombard who died in August.

Aniel Soma had filled the position in an interim role after Lombard, a long-serving member of the SA cricket community, suffered a heart attack.

"I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Jacques on his appointment and welcome him on board," said Northerns Cricket Union president Vincent Sinovich.

"Jacques is well-qualified and has extensive experience and I am confident will make a success of this role.

"I would also like to thank Mr Aniel Soma who, under very difficult circumstances, has been acting as CEO since the untimely death of our former CEO, the late Elise Lombard."
