Rain washes out Delhi, Auckland clash

Rain had the final say as the Karbonn Smart Champions League Twenty20 match between the Auckland Aces and the Delhi Daredevils was abandoned without a ball being bowled at Kingsmead in Durban on Friday.

The match was the third game in as many days to end in a no-result because of inclement weather.

Both teams pick up two points from the match which means Delhi remains in second place in Group A, on six points, ahead of third-placed Auckland thanks to a superior net run-rate.

The Titans top the group with eight points after two wins from two matches.

Delhi’s next match is against the Perth Scorchers in Cape Town on Sunday while Auckland play on Tuesday in Centurion against Perth.

AUCKLAND ACES (possible) - Martin Guptill, Lou Vincent, Azhar Mahmood, Anaru Kitchen, Colin de Grandhomme, Gareth Hopkins (capt, wk), Colin Munro, Ronnie Hira, Kyle Mills, Andre Adams, Michael Bates.
