The excitement of the Indian Premier League Twenty20 gets under way on Friday and SuperSport will be there to bring viewers every moment of the competition.

Watch live video streaming of all 59 IPL matches.
Join the IPL DreamTeams now and you can win great Reebok prizes.

Friday’s opening match is between the Bangalore Royal Challengers and the Kolkata Knight Riders in Bangalore, and SuperSport 7 will cross over at 3.15pm for live coverage of the match.

There are no South Africans in the Bangalore squad, which is viewed by many as one of the favourites for the title with players the calibre of Sourav Ganguly, Chris Gayle, Ricky Ponting, Ishant Shamra, Agit Agarker, Umar Gul and Brendon McCullum.

Rahul Dravid captains a Kolkata side that does have South African representation in the form of Proteas Jacques Kallis, Dale Steyn and Mark Boucher.

A lineup that many feel might be a bit thin, the squad also includes Anil Kumble, Zaheer Khan, Wasim Jaffer, Nathan Bracken and Shivnarine Chanderpaul.

SuperSport’s coverage of the IPL T20 continues on Saturday with two matches -- Mohali v Channai from Mohali on SuperSport 2 at 11.15am and Delhi v Jaipur from Delhi on the same channel at 4.15pm.

Sunday’s action features Mumbai v Bangalore from Mumbai on SuperSport 6 at 11.15am and Kolkata v Hyderabad from Kolkata on the same channel at 4.15pm.
