Elgar, Du Plessis give SA A big lead
Dean Elgar and Faf du Plessis shared a third-wicket partnership of 292 runs to put South Africa A in total control on the second day of their four-day match against Sri Lanka A at Sahara Stadium Kingsmead on Sunday.
South Africa finished the day on 425 for six for an overall lead of 255 runs after they had dismissed Sri Lanka for 170 on the first day.
Elgar (171 off 302 balls, 19 fours) completed his 16th first-class century and Du Plessis (144 off 225 balls, 12 fours and 2 sixes) completed his eighth first-class century.
On the first day Rory Kleinveldt and Wayne Parnell had taken seven wickets between them in 29 overs.
