Experience sport like
never before
There is an awesome new way to enjoy watching sport - by getting
interactive with our second-screen experience while the game is on.
The second-screen experience on SuperSport.com's iPad app has all the
live stats available for you as you watch the game unfold. You can also
use your Facebook profile to check-in to a game and engage in banter
with fellow fans. If you missed a key moment during the match, not a
problem - near live clips are available in the app, so you can re-live
the action.
PICK YOUR MATCH
Your landing screen above is your gateway to a whole
new experience in the way you follow your sport. From here you can:
- Read the top news stories
- Use the tournament tabs at the top to select which games
you'd like to participate in
- Scroll through the match screens above the news to find the
one you want,
and
- Select other sports at the base of the screen to read their
latest stories
GET INVOLVED
Once you have selected your match, the screen above is your
ticket to being the game's most informed
and interactive viewer. When you have logged in to Facebook using the
Check In button at the top left of the screen, and given your nod of
support to your team at the top, you'll have access to:
- All the fixtures, results and logs from the tournament
- The match score and all the profiles of the players on the
field
- Live text commentary and polls updated on a regular basis
- A chat facility to share your views with other users in the
same game
- An expanded view of the match in progress
- Near-live clips of key moments – a first for South Africa
THE SAME
GAME, JUST BETTER
By clicking on the view-expanding button in the score bar, you will
now have access to detailed live stats during the game. As well as
clickable pics of the squad of 22 for each side, you'll know - among
many other things - exactly how many:
- tackles each side has made
- line-outs have been won
- penalties have been conceded
- kicks at goal have been attempted, and so much more
HOW DO I GET THIS?
Simple, all you need to do pop into the Apple App Store and
download
the updated version of the SuperSport.com for iPad application.
Please note: remember
that at this stage the app is designed as a second-screen experience to
enhance your viewing of the match on TV by providing info, stats and
the ability to chat with other viewers. Hence at this stage there is
not a focus on live streaming.
If you do wish to watch sport on your iPad or another Apple device, we
suggest you get an iDrifta, which plugs into any Apple device and
allows you to watch the DStv Mobile bouquet of channels.
