Nzima, Makoka look for top honours

The SA Cross Country Championships will be held at the Tshwane University of Technology campus in Pretoria on Saturday.

With over 3000 participants entered in the event, the highlight will be a showdown between national champion Sibusiso Nzima (Central Guateng) and Stephen Mokoka (Gauteng North) in the 12km race.

At last year's national cross country showpiece, Nzima beat Mokoka for the title by just one second, winning in 36 min 17 secs.

Mokoka showed terrific form in winning the SA 10km Championships held in Paarl in the Western Cape last month, and will be aiming to pull off a win against Nzima.

The Phalula twins, Lebogang and Lebo, will be taking part in the women's 8km event.
