Farah in Britain squad for World Indoors
Mo Farah was named in a 39-strong Great Britain squad for next month's World Indoor Championships in Istanbul on Tuesday despite speculation the distance runner may skip the event.
The reigning 5 000 metres world champion is reportedly considering his involvement in the March 9-11 championships following his defeat over two miles at the British Grand Prix in Birmingham last weekend.
However the 28-year-old star was named by British athletics chiefs for the finale to the indoor season.
Britain's squad also includes defending world champion Jessica Ennis as well as sprinter Dwain Chambers, also hoping to defend his world indoor 60m title.
"This is a strong team and one that can realistically challenge for medals and make finals," UK Athletics Head Coach Charles van Commenee said.
"There are some good athletes coming through and I am looking forward to seeing how they perform on the senior international stage.
"There have been some good performances during the indoor season which bodes well for Istanbul and beyond.
"The indoor season gives useful information about how athletes are progressing. It is important to remember the focus still remains on London 2012."
