Slovakian shot putter banned for life
Slovakian shot putter Milan Haborak has been banned for life over a second career doping offence, the Slovakian athletics federation announced on Friday.
Haborak, 37, the national outdoor record holder with 20.87m, tested positive for the steroid stanozolol at an out-of-competition test two months ago.
He was banned for life as a second-time offender by rules of the world governing body IAAF, having served a first two-year ban after being caught using a forbidden hormone in 2004.
Haborak is the second Slovakian shot-putter who has been banned
for life. The 2008 European indoor champion Mikolas Konopka
suffered the same fate as repeat offender later in 2008.
