SA swim team named for Dutch Open
A 12-strong group of South African swimmers will begin their build-up to next year's London Games when they go in search of Olympic qualifying times next month.
Swimming SA named a team of five men and seven women on Thursday to compete at the Dutch Open Swimming Championships, a Fina sanctioned event, in Eindhoven between December 2 and 4.
Veteran Mandy Loots, a three-time Olympian, will spearhead the team which also includes Kathryn Meaklim, Vanessa Mohr and Charl Crous.
Kelly Gunnell, who picked up three medals at the Commonwealth Youth Games in September, will hit the water in the 50m, 100m and 200m breaststroke events.
