Kvasha retains 1m title in Budapest

Ukrainian Illya Kvasha retained his European 1 metre diving title in Budapest, Hungary, on Wednesday.

The 22-year-old - who won the title in 2008 and 2009 - recorded a total of 433.90 points to beat Germany's Patrick Hausding (430.25pts) while Javier Illana of Spain took bronze with 414.35 points.

Thursday sees the men's synchronised 3m and the women's 10m events.
